Hunt for Unity Vision Statement

PICTURE A TOWN:

• With Church steeples, historic houses, adored and memory-filled buildings, tree lined streets and a symbol-filled, beautiful Common that visually represents the active yet peaceful nature of the town for which it is the hub.

A town:

• That actively woos then supports businesses that provide additional services/products for our citizens, maintain or enhance our visual image and benefit our community;

• Where Committees, Boards and Departments work together for the good of all citizens---and the best of all governments.

A town:

• That respects all its citizens regardless of age or circumstance and values their thoughts and ideas;

• That smiles on and lovingly protects its children, cheers at their victories, sympathizes with their defeats and always, in every way encourages their academic and physical improvement;

• That honors its Seniors with a town budget to provide sufficient food, transportation, assistance with forms and applications and a gathering place for self-improvement and social connections.

A town:

• Where young and old and all in between have free access to a public library where they may discover the worlds of experiences offered through books, videos, computers and music;

• Where parents, grandparents, teens, young adults and children know and respect each other’s needs regardless of political differences or past disagreements;

• Where every street is a safe street---safe from crime, accidents, fire, ice, snow, or other perils of the modern world;

• Picture a town unified in its daily goal to become a little better than yesterday without losing its past’s charm and beauty.
