Stability
Functional, Unified Bridgewater.
When stability has been established:
• Citizens and government will have sufficient trust in each other to enter into dynamic discussions about what is best for Bridgewater
• Disagreements will be substantive rather than personal
• Bridgewater will have reserves in the reserve account
• One-time money will not be spent as part of the operational budget
• There will be no deep divisions between the “schools” and “town government” and resentments harbored by “the town” against “the college” and “the prison” will be minimal or non-existent
• Bridgewater will have processes in place to handle both on going and emergency fiscal situations
• We will not live in Utopia but Bridgewater will be a fiscally, structurally and emotionally healthy place for all its citizens.
